Overview
This article goes over how one may share their outlook calendar with someone..
Resolution
Navigate to your calendar in Outlook.
Right-click on your calendar under My Calendars.
Select Properties....
lick on the Permissions tab.
Click on Add....
Search for the person you want to add and click add. If you have multiple people repeat until they are all added and then click OK.
Select the name of the person you added and select the Permission Levels you want to provide or select the individual permissions you want. We have included a definition of the permission levels below.
We recommend using one of the built-in permission levels over the individual permissions.
Owner: This grants them Full permission to the selected calendar. This makes them the owner of the calendar This isn't recommended
Publishing Editor: This is similar to the Owner permission, but it doesn't change the owner of the calendar. This can be useful for people that need to manage your calendar for you. Still be careful with this permission
Editor - This grants full permissions and is useful for basic calendar sharing.
Publishing Author - Similar to the Publishing Editor but doesn't allow them to delete items the owner has created.
Author - Similar to Editor but doesn't allow them to delete items the owner has created.
Non editing Author - Grants the use permission to create appointments, but they can't edit anything. They can only delete items they have created.
Reviewer - The user can only see the calendar.
Contributor - They can create appointments, but not able to delete anything. The user can see time, subject, and location of items on your calendar.
Free/Busy time - The user can see the times you are busy, but none no other information. This is the default setting for Default.
Once you have finished granting all the permissions click on OK. Contact the person to let them know they should have access to your calendar. If they have questions on how to access your calendar, please provide them with the knowledge article.
