Question
I am a graduate teaching assistant and when I try to open the Brightspace Courses app to request merged/grouped courses it doesn't load.
Why do I see a "You don't have access to this app" message when trying to merge courses?
What does this mean: "This app isn't opening correctly. It looks like you don't have access to this app. Ask its owner to share it with you."?
Overview
The most common reason the app will display an access error message is when using a Student MavMail account to log into the Brightspace Courses app.
To resolve this issue:
- Log out of your MavMail account on the web browser you are using to access D2L Brightspace.
- If needed, log out of the Office 365 widget on the D2L Brightspace homepage by clicking the Disconnect FirstName.LastName@mnsu.edu link in the widget.
- Log in to your MavMail account using your employee/staff inbox credentials: YourStarID@minnstate.edu
- Then open the Brightspace Courses app again.
