Does Zoom Phone offer accessibility features?
Overview
Zoom Phone offers several accessibility features that people will find useful.
Live Transcript:
Live transcript is available on the Zoom app (laptop or desktop computer) or the Zoom mobile app (Android or iPhone). Live Transcript will caption the conversation which allows you to have a transcript of a call and can assist people who are hard of hearing. Transcription can be turned on or off during a call, or enabled for all calls.
Note: when Live Transcript starts, the caller will receive a message notifying them that the call is being transcribed.
Enable Live Transcript in the Zoom Laptop/Desktop App:
- Answer the call. The keypad on the Zoom Phone will change from numbers to function buttons. Select ... More.
- Select Enable Live Transcript. The Live Transcript window will open, the caller will hear "This call is being transcribed," and the transcription will begin in the Live Transcript window.
3. To stop Live Transcript, click ... More and click Disable Transcript. An announcement will be played saying "the transcription has stopped."
Live Transcript can be turned on all the time within the Zoom laptop/desktop app by:
1. Clicking on your initials or photo in the upper-right corner of the app and selecting Settings.
2. Select Phone on the settings list.
3. Check Automatically start Live Transcript when in a call under Live Transcript settings.

- Answer the call on your Zoom mobile app. The keypad on the Zoom Phone will change from numbers to function buttons. Select ... More.
- Select Enable Live Transcript.
The Live Transcript window will open. The caller will be alerted that "this call is being transcribed," and the transcription will continue.
Live Transcript can be turned on all the time within the Zoom mobile app by:
1. Within the Zoom mobile app, click ... More.
2. Select Phone.
3. Turn on Automatically Start Live Transcript.
Other Zoom Phone Accessibility Features
Zoom Phone also supports any headset that is used for Zoom web meetings. Additionally, Zoom Phone supports screen readers and prompts on both the desktop/laptop and mobile Zoom apps.
