How do I setup Outlook for a Dept email address that I have access to?
Overview
- Click on the start button
- Type Control Panel and Click on Control Panel
- If needed in the upper right corner change View By: to Small icons
- Locate and double click on Mail (32-bit) or Mail (Microsoft Outlook) icon
- Click on Show Profiles
- Select Prompt for a profile to be used
- Click Add
- Enter a name for the profile. This is used to identify the account
- Clear the Email Address: box and enter the email address you want to add
- Enter your StarID password in the Password and Retype Password boxes
- Click Next
- It will start searching for the mailbox, once it locates it a log in box appears. Enter your email address
Students, Alumni and Emeriti: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
Faculty and Staff: StarID@minnstate.edu
- You may need to repeat step 11 again if it prompts for your login information. If not proceed to step 13
- Click Finish
- Close any open windows that are open from the Mail app or control panel
- Start Outlook and select the profile you created up above
- Login with your StarID@campus.mnsu.edu and your password
