How to Use Hot Desking

Question

How can I sign into another Yealink Zoom Phone to use my phone extension? 

Overview

The hot desking feature allows phone users to use their extension number and PIN to temporarily sign in to a provisioned desk phone.

Enable hot desking for your own use (User)

If you’re a user, you can enable hot desking for any phone you’ve been assigned.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone, then the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Desk Phone(s) section.
  4. Select Allow Hot Desking for the phone.
  5. Unselect Allow Hot Desking for the phone to disable the feature.

Sign in

  1. Sign in to the phone using one of these methods:
    • Press the Guest soft key on the phone's home screen.
    • Enter 71 (and then your phone extension, followed by #)  Example 711234#
    • Enter your pin 

Sign out

  • When you’re done using the phone, you can sign out using one of these methods:
  • Press the Sign Out soft key on the second page of the soft key menu.
